If you’re looking to have a go at archery and want to maximise your time on the line shooting arrows, then the open shoot sessions are perfect solution for you! Even if you’ve never done it before, you’ll soon have a bow and arrow in your hand and be confidently shooting away at targets from various distances. Our qualified instructor will offer you a range of bows to try, pushing you to shoot from further and further back as your technique improves.

Our staff always takes everyone step by step through safe shooting techniques, with time to overcome any nervous energy you may have at your first session. These sessions are catered mainly for adults and children aged 12 and over.

Participants are grouped as follows: 7–11 years, 12–15 years, and 16 years and over.

Children aged 7–11 may join Family Sessions only and must be supervised by a paying parent or legal guardian. The minimum age of 7 is a guideline; younger children may participate if the instructor confirms they can safely handle the equipment. In some cases, advanced archers under 12 may join non-Family Sessions if training for competitions, at the instructor’s discretion.

Participants aged 12–15 may attend any session if a parent or guardian remains present for the duration. The accompanying adult does not need to book but must stay on site.

Those aged 16 and over may attend without adult supervision.

All participants must hold a paid booking before entering the range. If a session is fully booked, no additional participants can be added. Proof of age may be requested when necessary.

For safety reasons, instructors have full authority to refuse or remove anyone who may pose a risk to themselves or others. This includes individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs, those physically or mentally unable to use equipment safely, anyone suspected of intending to misuse archery knowledge, participants unable to follow safety instructions, or anyone behaving recklessly.
